From Debt Collector to Husband

Jimmy said coldly to his assistant: "Throw away all her things, leave not a single trace." I grabbed his sleeve: "Jimmy! It's me, Hannah—your Hannah for three years!" He flung my hand away fiercely: "Ms. Scott, don't overestimate yourself. Bruce was a pathological product, and he should have vanished long ago." "A product?" I ground my teeth. "The steamed buns from the underpass, the candy in your arms—were all of it a lie?" His tone was impatient: "It was a stain. I'll have the divorce papers sent over. Don't bother me again." I screamed at his retreating back: "You'll regret this!" His steps faltered. He turned his head slightly and murmured: "We'll just have to wait and see."

Chapter 1 of "From Debt Collector to Husband"

Sunlight filtered through the windowpanes, falling onto the old sofa in the living room, dust motes drifting in the shafts of light. I looked at the man opposite me—both strange and familiar. He was no longer the foolish Bruce who would follow me around shouting "Hannah" and snatch the candy from my hand; in his eyes there was a coldness and distance I had never seen before. "Hannah Scott, let's get a divorce." He spoke, his voice low, carrying a rehearsed calm. My hand holding the glass stilled as I raised my eyes to him. "I am Jimmy Lewis, not the Bruce you call me." He added, tapping his fingers on the documents on the table, "Those past days were an abnormal state after my brain developed a pathological issue; they don't count." I tugged at the corner of my mouth, not daring to ask whether the years we spent together counted. "I understand the reason." I said. Jimmy Lewis pushed over a divorce agreement and a property deed. "This villa is yours, as compensation for your time." I glanced at the address on the property deed; it felt unfamiliar. "Why this villa?" I asked. "This is the only property I can immediately transfer under my name." He avoided my gaze, his tone edged with a hint of impatience, "You just sign; I'll have someone handle the paperwork." I picked up the pen, the tip hesitating on the paper for two seconds. "I'll sign." I said. Jimmy Lewis's eyes flashed with a trace of surprise, as if he hadn't expected me to be so decisive. "No need to reconsider?" He asked, his voice devoid of warmth. "No need." I signed my name and slid the agreement back. "From now on, it's clean between us. You live your life, and I'll live mine." He took the agreement and examined it once more, then nodded with approval. "The transfer will be processed in three days. I'll have someone get in touch with you." After speaking, he stood up, adjusted his suit jacket, and left without looking back. The moment the door closed, I finally exhaled slowly; the cup of water in my hand had long since gone cold.

My Boss Dates on My Fines

At the year-end meeting, my team had clearly topped the charts for three years running, yet somehow my name was glaringly listed at the bottom. "Team leader at the bottom, fined two hundred thousand dollars." Wayne Murphy's voice came through the microphone, cold as ice. I clenched my skirt, watching his gaze soften as it landed on Marisa Hurley in the third row; the two of them smiling so brightly it stung. "Consider this money," he paused, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth, "a little gift for your future boss's wife." I stood up, my voice cutting through the hall: "Mr. Murphy, do you want me to repeat my team's data right here, right now?" He frowned....

He Chose Her Over Us

"Holden's surgery fees aren't enough? Then mortgage the house first." On the phone, Freddy Charles's voice echoed coldly from the conference room, sounding unreal. I trembled as I completed the procedures and transferred the money into the hospital account. Ten minutes later, my phone vibrated. Bank alert: The money has been transferred out. Note: For Bobo's medical expenses. I stared at the recipient's name—Maya Lopez. "Where's the money? Our son Holden is waiting for surgery!" I called, my voice hoarse. "Maya's cat broke a bone. It's very serious." He paused, "People can usually endure more than pets, right?"收起

After His Mistress Faked My Medical Report

One week before our third anniversary, I received my "death notice." The doctor slid the report across the table, his tone as if delivering a verdict: "Terminal stomach cancer. Three months left." At that moment, my world fell silent. Until the intern nurse, eyes red and swollen, rushed into my arms. "I'm sorry! The report was a mistake!" she apologized with her lips, but her gaze flickered toward the man hastily approaching behind me—my husband, Yves Scott. She hid behind him, her voice choked with tears: "Yves, I didn't mean to..." I raised my hand and slapped her. With a sharp crack, Yves Scott caught my wrist, his eyes icy cold: "Serena Bauer, are you crazy?"收起
