The Obsessive Cheater's Redemption

2026-03-04

Flames devour my body, thick smoke sears my throat. Caleb clutches Mia, standing clear of the fire, his eyes cold as ice. "Did you kill my parents?" I demand, my voice raw and hoarse. He flicks a brow, unapologetic and unmasked. "So what if I did? The Lynn Family's fortune was always mine to take. Besides, Mia wanted it this way." Mia huddles in his arms, her voice soft and syrupy. "Caleb, don't say that. Emily will be heartbroken." "Heartbroken?" I laugh, a bitter, broken sound. "I loved you for ten years, and you destroyed my family, burned down my home—all for her!" Caleb's gaze turns vicious, sharp as a blade. "Emily, blame only yourself for standing in the way of Mia and me." I stare at him, every word torn from my chest, stained with blood and tears. "Caleb, if there is a next life, I will make you pay for this blood debt with your own blood!" He scoffs, a low, mocking sound. "A next life? Even in the Underworld, you will never escape my grasp." His voice cuts through the roaring fire, cold and unyielding. "Emily, I'll see you in the Underworld. I will marry you there, and chain you to me for all eternity."收起

Chapter 1 of "The Obsessive Cheater's Redemption"

My name is Emily Lynn. After death, I came to the Underworld, only to be forced into marriage by Caleb Jones. He was the man who haunted me for half a lifetime in my past life; at this moment, he gripped my wrist so tightly I feared he might crush the bones. The red candles flickered, ashes of joss paper scattering over my robes. Caleb's voice, laced with obsessive possessiveness: "Emily Lynn, even here in the Underworld, you can only be my wife." I gently pulled my wrist away, my tone flat: "Caleb, I have already forgotten what happened in life." He raised an eyebrow, eyes full of provocation: "Forgot? You seem surprisingly indifferent." I lowered my gaze, glancing at the candle wax pooling on the ground, and fell silent. This bridal chamber in the Underworld was exceedingly plain; besides us, only two Underworld Officers waited silently in the corner. Caleb Jones stepped closer, a cold aura enveloping him: "Aren't you curious why I insist on holding our wedding here, in the Underworld?" "Not curious." I answered bluntly. The tangled loves and hatreds of life had already vanished the moment I drew my last breath. Caleb's expression darkened, clearly unprepared for my indifferent tone. He was silent for a moment, then suddenly spoke: "Mia Scott, do you still remember?" I lifted my eyes to him, my gaze calm and unruffled: "Remember, your perfect love." In a past life, Mia Scott was the thorn that stood between us; for her, he wounded me again and again until I was shattered beyond repair. "Aren't you angry?" Caleb Jones pressed, a hint of expectation in his voice, as if hoping I would break down. "Angry about what?" I countered. "Angry that my heart belongs to her, angry about the wrongs I owe you from a past life?" He closed in step by step, nearly pressing his face to mine. I shook my head lightly. "Those things are in the past; there's no use bringing them up again." Caleb Jones froze, the obsession in his eyes slowly giving way to confusion: "Emily Lynn, what exactly is wrong with you?" A barely noticeable trace of panic slipped into his tone. "Nothing much." I turned and headed toward the side chamber. "The wedding ceremony is over. I want to be alone for a while." Behind me, Caleb stood rooted to the spot, his expression unsettled. The side chamber in the Underworld was cold and damp. Sitting by the bed, my mind was clear—his probing and provocations could no longer stir even the slightest ripple within me. The debts from my past life must be settled now, in death. Not long after, Caleb Jones pushed the door open, carrying a bowl of pitch-black medicinal broth. "Drink this." "What is it?" I didn't take it. "A calming soup from the Underworld; it helps lessen the intrusion of yin energy." His tone softened slightly. I took the bowl and drank it in one gulp; the bitterness spread over my tongue, but the cold chill on my body did ease considerably. "You don't have to be kind to me." I handed back the empty bowl. Caleb Jones's fingertips brushed my hand unintentionally, then he pulled away sharply, as if burned. "I'm not being kind to you—I just don't want anything to happen to my wife here in the Underworld." I closed my eyes and leaned against the bed, no longer responding to him. Caleb Jones remained silent for a long moment before quietly slipping away. I knew clearly he wouldn't give up so easily, but no matter what he did, we could never return to what we once were.

Back from the Dead to Claim a Debt

"Jagger, you dirty cheat!" Frank spat out a mouthful of blood foam and roared, his hands tied behind his back. I twirled a lighter between my fingers: "Dirty? Didn't say a word when you ruined my paintings, did you?" Cindy lunged at me, trying to stop me, her voice trembling: "Jagger, let him go! It's all my fault!" I clamped down on her wrist: "Your fault? Didn't think about today when you swindled my family's fortune, huh?" She cried out in pain: "I was forced! Frank threatened me!" Frank scoffed: "Quit the act! You were so eager to latch onto me back then! Jagger, I'll never let this go!" I snuffed out the lighter: "Let it go? The game has...

The Due Date of Justice

Behind me came Viola Lawrence's sweet voice: "Daisy, what a coincidence! What brings you to the hospital?" I turned around and met Carlos Jackson's cold, indifferent gaze. Beside him, Viola Lawrence was proudly showing off her belly with a smug look: "Could it be that working as a caregiver has worn you down? Well, serving others is hard work—nothing beats the comfort of carrying my own baby." "Get lost." I gritted my teeth and spat out two words. Carlos Jackson sneered, pulling out a black card and slapping it down in front of me: "Five hundred thousand. Enough for you to quit and take a break. Don't disgrace us out there." "When you stole my mom's necklace and forced me...

The Deadly Sky Diving

Quincy clenched the crumpled sky diving brochure, her voice trembling. "Morgan, let's go sky diving at Eagle's Beak Cliff. I heard it can release all your stress." I gazed into the exhaustion I could not hide in her eyes, my heart aching, and nodded without hesitation. The night before we set off, she placed two sky diving packs by the entrance and repeatedly urged, "Be sure to check carefully; safety comes first." I crouched down, my fingertips tracing the zipper of the sky diving pack as I inspected it, then suddenly froze. Quincy's sky diving pack's load-bearing strap had been sliced through by a blade, nearly severed, held together only by a few fragile threads! I looked up; she was...

My Snack Stand

"What a lousy stand! You don't deserve to be here at all! This food is disgusting—totally junk!" The little girl's shrill shouts cut through the hustle and bustle of the amusement park. My hand trembled, and the hot oil splashed onto my wrist. A sharp, piercing pain surged through me in an instant. "Nina, stop making a scene." That voice—familiar yet strange—it was Raymond. Nine years had passed. He was dressed in a neat suit, exuding an air of nobility all over. It felt as if there were two separate worlds between him and me. "Sir, please keep your child in check, and also..." Before I could finish speaking, a stack of hundred-dollar bills fluttered down in front of me....

He Cheated With My Stepsister

I had taken meticulous care of Sunny, my paralyzed stepsister, for six years, and supported my husband Sam for seven. I had made him rise from poverty to the position of CEO. Yet, the moment I got Sunny's prenatal test report, a bucket of icy cold water poured over me. "Sam is the father of Sunny's baby." "Wendy, we'll register the baby under your name, and you'll remain Sam's wife." "So this is what you call loving me—making me raise a child for my husband and my stepsister?" I screamed out my accusation, only to be met with the perfunctory response, "Don't be unreasonable." Clutching my phone tightly, I said to Lawyer Jones on the other end of the line....

I Am Her

I once believed that Quinn Scott, who loved me deeply, was the culprit; I hated her with all my being and tormented her for years. She broke her leg for me, starved herself, severed ties with her family, yet I locked her in the villa and abused her mercilessly. It wasn't until a devastating fire, when she vanished without a trace, that I realized she had been Stella Lynn all along—the one who stayed by me during my blindness...收起

From Kin to Killers

I was pushed off the rooftop to a tragic death by my sister-in-law, all because her superstition made her believe I ruined her chance of having a son. After being reborn, I supported all her foolish actions. She threw money to change the fetus, and I applauded; she refused treatment, and I approved. Watching her, egged on by me, step by step towards family ruin and despair, I smiled: This time, it's your turn to taste the flames of hell.收起

Love and Let Go

"Mrs. Lewis? John Lewis said you have no charm, and he was absolutely right." Melissa was wearing John's shirt, slipping on my slippers, and hooked her arm through his in a provocative manner. I clenched the divorce papers, my voice trembling: "John, get her out of here! This is my house!" "Nancy, stop making a scene." He frowned. "I'm just trying to force you to get treatment. I've been looking for a liver donor this whole time!" "Force me?" I laughed until tears came. "Bringing her to sleep in our marital bed, letting her wear my things—this is your idea of forcing me?" Melissa scoffed: "You're dying from liver disease, nothing but a burden. With me by his side, John...
