The Stream Queen's Return

2026-03-04

The spotlight blazed on my face, the barrage of comments scrolling wildly. I am Luna Drew, Live Stream Queen of the Chambers Group, lifting that bottle of "Whole Wheat Beer." Assistant Yvette Diaz smiled off-camera. "Luna, the audience can't wait any longer." I took a big gulp—the sour sharpness of lemon exploding down my throat! An allergic reaction surged like a tide; clutching my neck, I screamed into the camera, "Cut the broadcast... this drink isn't right—" I curled up on the floor, a tearing, agonizing pain ripping through my abdomen. Warm blood seeped between my legs, spreading a glaring red stain across the pale floor. Yvette Diaz slowly crouched down, feigning support, but her fingertips dug sharply into my arm. She leaned close to my ear, whispering in a breath too quiet for the live microphone to catch, her words punctuated by a slow, cruel laugh: "This bottle of 'Lemon Special'... was personally chosen for you by Mr. Chambers." "Congratulations, Luna. Your three-month pregnancy... and your career, both end here."收起

Chapter 1 of "The Stream Queen's Return"

Under the spotlight, I had just finished a round of product introductions. As the Chambers Group's Live Stream Queen, I had spent a week preparing for this live broadcast debut of the new beer. When the assistant handed me the sample, I habitually checked the label. The label read "Whole Wheat Beer," but the bottle lacked that familiar chill against my hand. "Luna, hurry up and drink—the live comments are urging you." The voice of the intern, Yvette Diaz, sounded in my ear, tinged with subtle urgency. The countdown in the live streaming room had already begun. Without a second thought, I twisted off the cap and took a big gulp. The sharp bitterness of the lemon exploded instantly, my throat itched, and my breath grew rapid. I knew—something was wrong. I'm severely allergic to lemons; even a trace can trigger shock. "Stop the broadcast! Stop the broadcast!" I clutched my throat, struggling to speak into the camera. My vision blurred, the barrage of comments accelerated, and a roaring chaos filled my ears. Sudden, intense cramps seared through my abdomen; I doubled over, curling on the floor as my consciousness faded. Before I lost consciousness, I saw Yvette standing there, a strange smile playing at the corner of her lips. When I woke again, I was in a hospital room. My husband, Hermes Chambers, sat beside the bed, his face dark and grim. He is the president of the Chambers Group and also my direct superior. "Awake?" His voice was cold, utterly devoid of concern. "The child... how is my child?" I gripped his hand, my voice trembling. Hermes avoided my eyes and pulled his hand away. "The baby didn't make it. The allergic shock affected the fetus." The words struck me like a hammer, pounding my heart mercilessly. Tears brimmed as I choked out, "How could the sample be lemon soda? I clearly warned about my allergy." "Yvette took the wrong sample. I fined her five hundred bucks." Hermes' tone was flat. "Five hundred bucks?" I couldn't believe my ears. "Her mistake made me lose my baby, and she was only fined five hundred bucks?" "Her family is poor, and she just graduated. It's not easy for her." Hermes frowned, as if I was overreacting. "Just focus on taking good care of your health." Seeing his cold face, a chill ran through me. At the most painful moment of losing my child, he only thought about protecting someone else. That night, Hermes said the company had urgent matters and left the hospital early. After he left, the phone on the bedside table suddenly lit up. It was a message from Yvette: "Hermes, when are you coming? I made the soup you love." My heart sank, and on impulse, I opened their chat history. It was full of blatant intimate conversations and several indecent videos. In the video, Yvette wore my pajamas and lay on our marital bed, entwined with Hermes as they slept together. So, they had been together all along. So this "accident" wasn't accidental at all—it was Yvette's calculated revenge. I took out my phone, opened the divorce agreement template, and filled in the details one by one. The more I once loved, the more I now hate. When Hermes returned and saw the divorce agreement on the bedside table, his expression changed sharply. "Luna, what are you doing?" He snatched up the agreement, his voice seething with anger. "Divorce." I looked at him calmly, my eyes betraying no emotion. "Just because of Yvette?" He frowned. "I already said it was her mistake, and she was punished." I threw his phone to him, opening the chat history and videos. "See for yourself." Hermes's face slowly drained of color; he opened his mouth but couldn't say a word. "Sign it." I handed him the pen. "I don't want any property—I just want the divorce." He remained silent for a long moment but finally picked up the pen and signed his name.

Don't Go Home

A Second Chance at Love

I snapped my eyes open. The ceiling of the wedding chamber seared my vision — I'd been reborn! Stella burst in, carrying a glass of honey water, her smile dripping with hypocrisy. "Sister, drink this to warm your stomach." "No need," I scoffed. "Do you forget? This very honey water laced with sleeping pills cost me the gold award in my past life." Her face drained of all color. "You're talking nonsense!" Before the words left her lips, she deliberately let go, sending the glass crashing into the toilet. "Oops, a slip of the hand?" I picked up the perfume she'd stolen, along with my mother's earring box, and tossed them straight into the toilet too. "Then let these keep...

Behind the Obedient Smile

"Madeline Sharpe, someone's here to pick you up." I raised my head and saw Randal Lopez holding Norma Sterling standing at the end of the corridor. Norma Sterling's lower belly was slightly swollen, her face betraying unmistakable pride. Randal Lopez looked at me as if I were trash: "Pack your things and come with me." "Okay." I nodded obediently. He seemed a little surprised, then commanded, "Norma's pregnant with my child. You're going back to take good care of her until my baby's born." I lifted my face, forcing the most obedient smile: "I will, Randal." Norma Sterling giggled, leaning into his arms, while my hand hidden inside my sleeve had long since dug my nails into my palm. Sitting...

The Piano Teacher

I gripped my phone tightly, my knuckles white. On the screen was a photo just sent by my best friend。 Simon Gabriel, my husband, holding our daughter Anna's hand, standing with Wendy Lincoln in a cream-colored dress outside the Children's Restaurant, both smiling so brightly it stabbed at my eyes. Today was supposed to be the carefully planned fifth birthday I had prepared for Anna; the frosting flowers on the cake were still cold, yet my world had already turned upside down. "Linda Scott? If you have something to say, say it quickly. I'm with Anna, blowing out her candles." His voice came through the phone, mingled with the restaurant noise; impatient, it pricked at my heart like a sharp...

Blind to the Treasure

Five years of marriage; the love I bought with my sight was nothing but a carefully scripted drama. "That blind woman? She was merely my stepping stone." Before he could finish, another coquettish female voice laughed and interrupted. "Theodore, tell her. I'm the owner of Starlight Café—the engagement gift you gave me." A chill coursed through my entire body. Opening a coffee shop was my dream. He used my family's money to give another woman the dream that was mine. "Theodore Trent," I...

Goodbye For Good

In the corridor of the celebration party, Tina's voice drifted over: "I have no feelings for Daniel Collins." I clenched the ring box in my pocket. Looking up, I caught her soft gaze fixed on Hector—the man who'd stolen her money and run off, and now he was back. "You still haven't forgotten him?" I blocked her path. Tina's face changed abruptly: "Daniel, stop being unreasonable." Hector stepped forward and shielded her: "Mr. Collins, let's talk this out calmly." I raised my hand to push him. But he deliberately stumbled and tumbled down the stairs. Tina screamed and rushed over to him. She shot me a glare: "You've gone too far!" "I didn't push him!" I clenched my fists tightly,...
